Nancy S. Taylor ’81 M.Div., YDS Campaign Co-Chair

A graduate of Yale Divinity School, (M.Div. ‘81) and an ordained minister with the UCC, Nancy S Taylor is Senior Minister Emeritus of Old South Church in Boston where she served as the Senior Minister & CEO from 2005-2022. Prior to Old South Church, Taylor had served churches in rural Maine, Hartford, Connecticut and Boise, Idaho, as the Minister and President of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ (2001-2005), and the Moderator of the UCC’s General Synod. Over the course of more than forty years Taylor served rural and urban churches in sizes small, medium and large, in the positions of sole, associate, and senior minister. In 2009 she received Yale Divinity School’s Distinction in Congregational Ministry alumni award. 

Taylor co-chairs Yale Divinity School’s capital campaign and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council. She is an independent Trustee of Impax Funds. Taylor also serves on the Miller Center for Interreligious Leadership (Hebrew College), the Boisi Center for Religion in American Public Life (Boston College), The Congregational Library and Archives, and the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights Education, which she co-founded.
