Event description: 

Due to inclement weather, this lecture will now take place on Friday, February 10th, at 4pm in Niebuhr Hall.

Catherine Keller, Professor of Constructive Theology at the Theological School and Graduate Division of Religion of Drew University, will give the Taylor Lectures at Yale Divinity School February 7, 8, and 10. Her lectures will explore a “Political Theology of the Earth.”

A University of Heidelberg graduate, Keller earned her M.Div. at Eden Theological Seminary and her Ph.D. at Claremont Graduate School.

A reception will follow this final lecture.

The Nathaniel W. Taylor Lectureship in Theology was created at YDS in 1902 by a gift from Rebecca Taylor Hatch of Brooklyn, N.Y., in memory of her father, who was Dwight Professor of Didactic Theology from 1822 to 1858. A series of lectures on some theme in theology is given every second year, alternating with the Shaffer Lecture series.
