Ed Beddingfield M.Div.

Wife Sarah retired after a career as a middle school English teacher in the public schools; she likes working in the yard and has a part-time job at the information desk in the public library. Daughter Shannon, 31, graduated with honors and highest distinction in English and classics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned a master's in Medieval English from Ohio State, and is working on a PhD in Medieval English at Yale. She lives in an apartment on Bradley Street in New Haven. Daughter Meghan, 27, also graduated from UNC (in piano), returned last spring from two years in the Peace Corps in South Africa, and is a first-year MDiv student at Princeton Theological Seminary. So one kid is at Yale, the other in div school. Go figure. I've been pastor of four churches, since 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, NC; I'm also a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. No retirement in sight - not enough money. I still play guitar (bluegrass, folk and electric blues), and my brother and I will ride our motorcycles to Key West this spring. Hickory, the black lab we had at YDS, died long ago at the fine old age of 17; now we have a pit bull - must be getting testy in our old age.
