Christmas ’12 got a Golden Retriever puppy who ate my hearing aids, $4K worth!  In Jan landed a publishing contract with Wipf & Stock for Brief Christian Histories. Patti does first of four trips to Florida to care for her dad Four days past her 101st birthday in March, my mother died in OK. Patti did Meg Young’s Apr super-gala wedding for 150 guests—huge!  Biggest trout of the year—25 inches—taken in Manitoba, Canada. Daughter Cheril turned 50 over the summer with sister Melissa not far behind. I trapped six cats, sixteen raccoons, and two skunks in backyard Assisted/ing friend in prison writing science fiction book. Classmate Bruce Rigdon led some 27 recruited friends of mine on trip to Russia. Outstanding! A brother, busted the third time for growing marijuana, became a fugitive from the law.  Macular degeneration proceeds for me . . . mercifully, still “dry.” The peach-colored White House—ours—got repainted yellow, bath redone too. Got Rep. Pat Schroeder to speak at out Camp La Foret Board of Directors fundraiser/dinner. Three madrigal dinners at our church for 150 guests each night by Patti. Vacation week in Cabo San Lucas with Patti’s sister/brother-in-law. Bought five acres mountain property with cabin on it. Feb ’14 Brief Christian Histories: Getting a Sense of Our Long Story went to press.
