RUTH FERGUSON HOOKE


RUTH FERGUSON HOOKE received the Amherst, MA, Human Rights Commission award for “a lifetime of working for peace and social justice.” Ruth was cited, along with all the 1950s YDS women graduates, as “a woman of courage . . . a pioneer . . . a woman of faith who challenges the future.” Ruth does alternatives to violence work in a Connecticut prison and sings in three choral groups.
