Imagining Theological Method: Decolonial and Indigenous Possibilities
T 1:30 - 3:20pm
This course explores the possibilities of theological method emerging from decolonial and indigenous theologies and philosophies. The fundamental twofold question that guides this exploration is this: What is the status of the Christian (its shape and character) in decolonial and indigenous Christian theologies and what might be gained from an engagement with decolonial and indigenous thought for forming Christian theological method?
Either Introduction to Theology or Systematic Theology, along with an additional course in either Theology, or Ethics, or Philosophy of Religion (or) the student was a theology or religious studies major in college with at least two courses in Christian thought, but has not taken theology courses at YDS.
