Before the Fall Orientation

Before The Fall Orientation (BTFO) is the orientation session for incoming students held just before the beginning of the Fall semester.

If you are an incoming student, you will automatically receive email updates for BTFO beginning in June.  Updates about BTFO, including deadlines and contact information for the Orientation Coordinators will be posted on this page as they become available.

BTFO is an essential piece of your transition to life at YDS. The structure of your academic program will be presented with specific direction towards fall registration. Essential resources at YDS and Yale University will be introduced. Additionally, BTFO provides an opportunity to meet other incoming students, current students, and other members of the YDS community.

All sessions are designed to help incoming students and their families have a smooth transition into the YDS community and New Haven area.
