This lecture is the kick-off lecture for this year’s YMI series of free monthly lunch and lectures, will address our continuing theme of “Joy and Adolescent Faith and Flourishing” by describing the good life as one that is characterized by grounded empowerment in one’s racial identity, relationships across racial identities of mutual respect and understanding, and a shared commitment to a world where flourishing is not denied anyone by virtue of race.
