Class Notes

Taeha An ’25 M.A.R.

I am a current Ph.D. student in religion at Vanderbilt University. I would like to share some news about a new role to which I have recently been appointed by the government of Korea. The Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea has appointed me to serve as a Council Member on the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council. This is an official governmental body established under the Constitution of Korea, dedicated to fostering peaceful relations between South and North Korea. As a Council Member in the Atlanta Chapter, I will be working to collect public opinion on unification, review current and future policies related to reunification, and offer advice and recommendations to President Lee Jae Myung.
