Yale Divinity Bible Study

The Yale Divinity Bible Study Project is presented in cooperation between Yale Divinity School and The Congregational Church of New Canaan in New Canaan, CT. This material is intended for use in small-group Bible study sessions to promote discussion and reflection. The Series aims to engage educated lay audiences by offering the insights of biblical scholarship in a relaxed, informal, yet rigorous manner.

David Bartlett ’67 B.D., the late J. Edward and Ruth Cox Lantz Professor Emeritus of Christian Communication at Yale Divinity School, played a central role in the Yale Bible Study program. Read Dean Greg Sterling’s remembrance of Prof. Bartlett.

At the request of the family, gifts in memory of David Bartlett may be given to the David L. Bartlett Divinity Scholarship Fund. This fund was established in 2016 by friends and former students to honor the life and work of David Bartlett. Preference for this scholarship is given to students preparing for ordination to the Christian ministry.

To make a contribution, contact James Ebert ‘97 M.Div., Director of Major Gifts, at 203-432-8127 or james.ebert@yale.edu; or give online at divinity.yale.edu/giving.
