The Health of Healers: Burnout and Coping among Physicians and Clergy

Burnout is a common condition among those in serving professions. Because of it’s increased potential, the ability and capacity to employ emotional coping strategies that protect against burnout are not only important for the long-term viability of the minister’s career, but also for the long term health of the church.
 
On September 14, 2017 from 12:00 - 1:30, Dr. Benjamin Doolittle and Dr. Lydia Dugdale will address the issue of burnout among clergy and physicians, contributing factors and challenges, and importantly, strategies for coping, increasing flourishing and realizing spiritual well-being.
