Join us for a lunch-time piano recital with Duo Corvisier. Fernando and Fátima Corvisier are acclaimed Brazilian pianists whose distinguished careers blend performance, pedagogy, and research.

Bios:
Fernando and Fátima Corvisier are acclaimed Brazilian pianists whose distinguished careers blend performance, pedagogy, and research. Fernando Corvisier studied at institutions including the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, the New England Conservatory, and the University of Houston, where he earned his Doctor of Musical Arts. He has performed with major Brazilian orchestras and internationally, and currently serves as Professor of Piano at the University of Sao Paulo, focusing his research on Brazilian piano music and duet repertoire. Fernando Corvisier is a Fulbright Distinguished Visiting Scholar this Fall semester at Yale University.
Fátima Corvisier, also a professor at the University of São Paulo, holds a Doctorate in Music from the same institution and has specialized in piano pedagogy and performance practice, earning top prizes in national competitions. As soloists and educators, both have performed extensively across Brazil, Europe, and the United States. Together, they form the Duo Corvisier, founded in 1991, recognized as one of Brazil's foremost piano duos for their ensemble precision and expressive vitality. Their performances have spanned prestigious venues in Brazil and abroad, showcasing a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary, and representing Brazil at international music congresses.
