The “Sermon on the Mount” that Jesus speaks in Matthew 5–7 has been called an “epitome” of his teachings. Martin Luther and others have emphasized its high demands, and seen it as Jesus’s way of making us aware that we need grace. On the other hand, many Jesus people across history have worked through the difficulty level and seen it as his expected way to live. The Sermon has formed the programs of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and other leaders of non-violent movements that have altered world history.

It’s our turn to read it! This course will see it through ancient eyes first, then move it toward our 21st century, lives, churches, and world. Join us!

The 8 sessions will occur on January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, and 23. You only need to register one time in order to attend all 8 sessions.
