Jeffrey Oak is currently Senior Vice President at Bon Secours Health System, Inc. (BSHSI), where he has served since 2005.  Headquartered in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, BSHSI is a $3.6 billion non-profit, integrated health system with 21,000 employees operating in 6 states.  He reports to the Board Chair, and serves on the Executive Management Team, Executive Council and the Office of the Chair.  Under his leadership as Corporate Responsibility Officer, BSHSI’s ethics and compliance program has received national recognition: its ethics helpline has been recognized as a “top ten” portal in the US, and both its conflict of interest process and on-line ethics education received best practice awards through a national, peer reviewed process.  As Chief Development Officer since 2009, he oversees 35 fund-raising professionals who have raised over $90 million under his leadership.  He also provides enterprise wide leadership in the areas of research, policy and governance. 

Dr. Oak has received various honors, including: the Prize Fellowship for Teaching Excellence from Yale University; honorary Fellow designation from the Health Ethics Trust; the Under Secretary for Health’s Exemplary Service Award from the Veterans Health Administration; and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Gettysburg College.  He currently serves on several boards and advisory groups in higher education, ethics and healthcare, including: Trustee for Gettysburg College; Trustee for St. Francis Hospital in Greenville SC; President of the Alumni Board at Yale Divinity School; Independent Board Committee Member for CHE Trinity, Inc, where he serves on the Organizational Integrity and Audit Committee; and Kallman Executive Fellow at the Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University.  He previously served on the Advisory Group for the Ethics Resource Center Fellows Program.  He is a graduate of Gettysburg College (BA in interdisciplinary studies and classical Greek) and Yale University (MDiv in theology, MPhil in moral and political philosophy, and PhD in religious ethics).
