People ask: so are you retired? Well, the Pension Fund of the Episcopal Church thinks so. And thank you CPF because the pension allows me to be Director of Episcopal Service Corps Maryland and Associate ( part-time) for Formation with Church of the Holy Comforter in Baltimore. This is my 7th year with ESC-MD and I continue to love the work with young adults who have faith and passion for a year of service in an urban setting. They all say living in intentional community is the hardest and often most rewarding part. I coach, I don't live there. Mark Gatza and I still live in the house we moved to 28 years ago with 2 small children. Now the children are adults and we continue a variety of ministries from home base in Bel Air MD. Over the years one or both of us have commuted, now it's just me commuting...well, Mark's commute is about 6 minutes if the light is red between here and Emmanuel Church.
