Effective February 1, 2023 all transcript orders for alumni/ae of Andover Newton Theological School are handled through the secure Parchment Ordering Service.

Graduates and former students of Andover Newton Theological School (prior to affiliation with Yale in 2017) should order a transcript of study through the Parchment website(link is external). More detailed instructions and answers to frequently asked questions can be found in the support link on the Parchment site(link is external).

Be sure to select “Transcript - Andover Newton (not Yale Divinity School)”

[Students and graduates of the Andover Newton Seminary program at Yale Divinity School (post-2017 affiliation) should select “Transcript - Divinity School”]

Payment: At this time there is no charge for transcripts unless you are requesting expedited shipping.  All payment is made by credit card through the Parchment site.

Processing time: All Andover Newton Theological School transcripts are considered “legacy” transcripts which require manual intervention on our end.  This means you will receive a “records research” status when you first place your order.  Errors in the personal information that you provide (incorrect DOB, degree, or grad year, for instance) will delay the fulfillment of your order.

Method of Delivery: Parchment allows you to select electronic or mail options.  You may have your transcript sent by mail to yourself or another individual or organization, or electronically to any email address (including your own), or you may select one of the educational institutions designated in Parchment.

Attachments: During the transcript ordering process, you will be given the opportunity to upload documents in PDF, JPG, or JPEG formats to be included with the transcript mailing. These typically include LSAC and AMCAS forms or scholarship/fellowship applications.

Transcript Type

Unofficial transcripts cannot be ordered through Parchment. E-transcripts generated through Parchment are considered Official.  However, be aware that forwarding to a third party an e-transcript which has been sent to you nullifies its official status. If a third party requests an official transcript you should enter that person’s email address in your Parchment order.

Andover Newton transcripts do not reflect transfer credits from other institutions. If you transferred credits from elsewhere toward your Andover Newton degree, you must contact the other institution and ask they too send a transcript so that the recipient of your choosing receives a complete academic record.

If you have additional questions, please contact Roslyn Evans in the Registrar’s Office at (203) 432-5311, or via e-mail at roslyn.evans@yale.edu

Request a Replacement Diploma

Replacing a lost or damaged diploma from Andover Newton Theological School

While no graduate has the right to a duplicate diploma, Andover Newton Seminary may, at their discretion, authorize the issuance of a replacement in certain limited cases. For example, in some instances of loss or damage to the original. If the diploma is lost, the person requesting the duplicate must certify on the Application for Duplicate Diploma(link is external) that the replacement will be returned if the original is ever found. The duplicate diploma, when printed, will be marked “iteratum.” No duplicate will be printed until at least one year has elapsed since the loss unless the original is known to have been destroyed by fire, flood, or similar cause. If the original diploma is damaged, the applicant must return as much of the diploma as can be salvaged.

The process for requesting a replacement Andover Newton Theological School diploma can be found on the Andover Newton website here.

The University Registrar’s Office is responsible for the preparation of all diplomas distributed by Yale University and offers the following services to graduates of Yale: certified electronic credentials, duplicate or replacement diplomas, and official translations. More information can be found at:https://registrar.yale.edu/students/diplomas.  If you were unable to attend YDS Commencement, or if you did not receive your diploma at Commencement, please use the Diploma Request Form to request your diploma.
