YDS, Yale, and New Haven

The pizza capital of the U.S.A. Numerous other restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, churches, and everything else you would find in a large urban setting. Abundant opportunities for internships, ministry, and meaningful activism. All in a city of approximately 130,000 in which it is easy to get around and interact with the community and its residents. This is why people say New Haven is “large enough to be interesting, yet small enough to be friendly.”

Campus Safety

Yale is located in the heart of a vibrant urban community, with all the arts, culture, and rich diversity of experience that city life brings. With city living, it is important to take steps to stay safe, and Yale invests in significant public safety resources. Campus safety is the primary job of the Yale Police and Security Departments.
