Deadline
The deadline for admissions applicants to apply for financial aid is March 1st. Any applications received after that date will be reviewed on a funds-available basis.
It is our goal each year to have financial aid awards sent within 24 hours of a favorable offer of admission.
Application Materials
FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION FORMS FOR 2026–2027 WILL BE AVAILABLE BY LATE DECEMBER 2025. All prospective students who have started or completed a YDS Admissions application will receive an e-mail notice when the forms become available.
All U.S. citizens and permanent residents seeking financial aid, including those seeking only merit scholarships, will be required to submit both of the following forms:
- 2026–2027 FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid
YDS applicants must add the Yale University school code: 001426.
- 2026–2027 YDS Financial Aid Application for U.S. citizens and permanent residents
Requires a free account with Dynamic Forms that you must create the first time you open the form.
All international students seeking financial aid, including those seeking only merit scholarships, will be required to submit the following form:

Admitted international students who matriculate at YDS must also complete the YDS International Student Financial Resources Form to document financial resources for U.S. student visa requirements. A link to the form is sent to matriculated students in the spring.
