Deadline
The deadline for admissions applicants to apply for financial aid is March 1st. Financial aid applications received after that date are reviewed on a funds-available basis.
It is our goal each year to have financial aid award offers sent within 24 hours of a favorable offer of admission.
Application Materials
All U.S. citizens and permanent residents seeking financial aid for the 2027–2028 academic year, including merit scholars, must submit both of the following forms to receive a YDS scholarship:
- 2027–2028 FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The 2027–28 FAFSA is expected to be available by October 1.
- 2027–2028 YDS Financial Aid Application for U.S. citizens and permanent residents
The 2027–28 YDS financial aid forms will be available by late December.
All prospective students who have started or completed a YDS Admissions application will receive an e-mail notice when the YDS financial aid forms become available.
All international students seeking financial aid, including merit scholars, are required to submit the following form to receive a YDS scholarship:

Admitted international students who matriculate at YDS must also complete the YDS International Student Financial Resources Form to document financial resources for U.S. student visa requirements. A link to the form is sent to matriculated students in the spring.
