Olga Hartwell grew up in Manhattan and got her B.A. in Comparative Literature at Yale and her J.D. at Stanford Law School. After twenty-five years as a tax lawyer, initially at Covington & Burling (in Washington and London) and then at the General Electric Company, Olga went to YDS, where she received her M. Div. degree in 2019. Olga started writing in earnest at YDS, and she is currently at work on a novel, a dark coming-of-age story set in New York in the 1970’s. Olga and her husband, Chris, moved back to New York in 2019. They attend St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
