Jazzy Hanakaulani Bostock ’18 M.Div.

Before coming to YDS, I was first working in an internship in New Zealand, with the Maori Anglican Church, and then working on my mom’s organic farm on the Big Island of Hawaii.

I have been formed and changed during my time at YDS, spoiled by the amazing professors, stunning lectures, and breadth of experience in the student body, to name just a few things.

The experience of daily morning prayer, first at Berkeley at 7:30 every morning and then in Marquand at 10:30, has had the most transformative effect on me. The quality of preaching, the stability of routine, and being able to see the diversity in liturgy have been incredible.

I will be ordained to the transitional diaconate in the Diocese of Hawaii in June, and then begin a curacy with St. Peter’s in Honolulu.
