Stephen Butler Murray ’98 M.Div., President and Professor of Systematic Theology and Preaching at Ecumenical Theological Seminary, has been appointed executive minister of the International Council of Community Churches, an association of Protestant congregations.

Laurie Haller ’80 M.Div. has been elected bishop in the North Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. Haller was elected on the 13th ballot by the members of the North Central Jurisdictional Conference, meeting in July in Peoria, IL.  Haller currently serves as Sr. Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Birmingham, MI.

Mary Nelson Keithahn ’59 M.R.E., a retired United Church of Christ minister and church educator, freelance writer, and hymn writer who lives in Rapid City, S.D., has published two new books. One, a children’s book, is titled Elfie: Adventures on the Midwest Frontier. The other is Embracing the Light: Reflections on God’s Word.
