Quadcast: Modern immigration ideology and the Book of Revelation with Yii-Jan Lin

In the new episode of the Yale Divinity School podcast series, New Testament scholar Yii-Jan Lin ‘14 Ph.D. unearths how American immigration ideology and policy have been influenced by the Bible’s Book of Revelation. Lin, Associate Professor of New Testament, also discusses modern political discourse on immigration and the interplay between COVID-19 and patterns of xenophobia in America.

Lin, who has served on the YDS faculty since 2016, is author of the new book Immigration and Apocalypse: How the Book of Revelation Shaped American Immigration (Yale University Press 2024). Her teaching and scholarship focus on immigration, textual criticism, the Revelation of John, critical race theory, and gender and sexuality.
