Reflections journal has received an Award of Merit as one of the nation’s top seminary publications by the Associated Church Press. The YDS publication was awarded second-place in the best-in-class seminary journal category for its two issues in 2024. Winners were announced during an ACP presentation in Chicago in early May,
In judges’ remarks, they said they are “grateful for the in-depth theological reflection in this publication connecting to pressing issues in contemporary society.” The two Reflections issues judged in the competition were “A Listening Heart: Can We Temper Polarization? (Fall 2024) and “Ghost in the Machine: The Ethics of A.I.,” (Spring 2024).
Editor Ray Waddle received an Award for Excellence for his interview with historian Molly Worthen ’03 B.A., ’11 Ph.D. in the Fall 2024 issue.
ACP is the oldest interdenominational religious press association in North America. This year’s contest admitted more than 760 entries in nearly 90 categories.
