YDS “Reflections” Wins Honors at ACP Awards

Reflections, a magazine of theological and ethical inquiry produced by Yale Divinity School, is the winner of two awards from the Associated Church Press.

The magazine’s fall 2014 issue At Risk: Our Food, Our Water, Ourselves received the Award of Excellence (first place) for “Reporting and Writing - Theme Issue, Section or Series – Journal.” Reflections also won Award of Merit (the equivalent of second place) in the category of “General Excellence - Best in Class - Print/Journal.” 

Two members of the YDS community took home individual honors at the ACP awards banquet, held May 1 in Toronto.

In the category of “Theological or Scholarly Article,” Jennifer A. Herdt and Robert Herdt won Honorable Mention for “The Feeding of the 12 Billion,” which appeared in the fall 2014 issue of Reflections. Jennifer Herdt is Gilbert L. Stark Professor of Christian Ethics and Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

Reflections editor Ray Waddle also won Award of Merit for non-fiction book with his 2014 book Undistorted God: Reclaiming Faith Despite the Cultural Noise.
