Emily Scott ’06 M.Div.

Known for her pastoral and creative leadership, Rev. Emily Scott currently serves as pastor of two congregations in unique partnership: St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Dreams and Visions in Baltimore. These two congregations—one historic, one newly planted—are sharing a building, a pastoral staff, and beautiful of restoration, with soulful, creative, worship. From 2008 to 2017, Scott served as the founding pastor of St. Lydia’s Dinner Church in Brooklyn, where worship is a full meal, shared around a dinner table. Scott and the congregation joined efforts to combat police brutality and advocate for affordable housing with organizations such as Faith in New York. St. Lydia’s sparked a wider Dinner Church movement. She is the author of For All Who Hunger: Searching for Communion in Shattered World (Penguin Random House).
