José Oyanguren ’94 M.A.R.
José Oyanguren is the founder and Headmaster of St. Augustine Preparatory School in Managua, Nicaragua. Started in 2001, St. Augustine’s is a private, Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school for pre-K through 12th grade. In 2012, the school received accreditation through the New England Association of School and Colleges. Oyanguren’s mission in establishing this school was to create an educational community where its members would seek together, through faith and reason, knowledge of themselves, the world, and God. Since its inception, the school has 329 graduates and thirteen senior classes. Members of the five past graduating classes have been accepted into 97 colleges, including Yale.
