Phillipe Andal, ’16 M.Div.

The Rev. Philippe E. C. Andal serves as the Senior Pastor of the Community Baptist Church in New Haven. Under his leadership, several ministries have been developed and re-organized to meet the needs of a changing community in the heart of the Newhallville neighborhood. Andal sits on the Board of Managers of the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut and the Yale Divinity School Alumni Board. He serves as Treasurer of Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut, an interfaith collective of 37 congregations representing over 30,000 people who work together through building relational power to effect change for the common good on the local, state, and national levels. Andal was a 2017 Fellow in the FASPE program (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics), holds a Certificate in Executive Church Leadership from the Howard University School of Business, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also holds a faculty appointment as Lecturer in Pastoral Leadership and Church Administration at Yale Divinity School.
