Your pre-BTFO checklist

Hello friends - The time is near. BTFO begins in just four short days!

You’ve been sent a few different things over the last several weeks that require or advise completion either before BTFO or before classes begin. Here’s a short list of those things - since we’ve got a few days left before BTFO, I hope this gentle reminder is helpful, rather than annoying…

1. Title IX Training: an online training program intended to support the Yale Community’s shared commitment to cultivate a community in which all members feels safe and supported. Note: this training is REQUIRED for all Yale faculty, staff and students. For all of you, it’s important to note that you will not get your Yale ID at the end of BTFO if you do not complete this training.  It’s all online and will take less than 20 minutes to complete. Link here.

2. Yale Divinity School Student Organization Handbook and Event Planning Guide: Every incoming and current student is required to review the handbook every year and fill out a short online form confirming that they have done so. Here is the page where you can access the link to the handbook and then fill out the form, confirming that you have read it.

3. Diving Into Divinity: While not required, I would encourage all of you to take advantage of the lectures and readings and discussions happening in this online orientation program. See our earlier post about Diving Into Divinity HERE. There will be a small group session specifically discussing Diving Into Divinity during BTFO. Link here.

4. Student Information Form for Development Office: Also not required, but you should have received an email last week from the Development Office, asking you to share information about yourself for donors (i.e. the people who gives the moneys for our scholarships). Here’s the link and please also upload a digital photo. Donors (who are usually also alums) love getting to know the new students and the info you provide will help YDS assess your eligibility for scholarships going forward. Link here.

Please don’t hesitate to email me (emily.bruce@yale.edu) if you have questions or need help with any of the above.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK!

Your BTFO Coordinator,
Emily
