Scott J. Fruchter, 69, M Div 1976, passed away February 7, 2021, in San Bernardino, California. Before entering Yale, Scott received a B A in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College (1972), and afterwards he went on to earn an M B A from The University of Michigan (1983) and J D from Louisiana State University (1998).
Scott developed an interest in criminal justice during his years at Yale, and his career path took him through service as a probation agent, working in employee benefits (including running his own company for several years), and ultimately practicing law in California. He enjoyed travel, military and constitutional history, woodworking, and adopting retired racing greyhounds.
Scott is survived by his wife, Gene Aguierre, Gene’s children Lawralei and Robert and three grandchildren, as well as his brother Marc and rescued greyhounds Jett and Hulu.
