After graduating from Yale Divinity School, Antipas L. Harris earned a D.Min. and a Ph.D. He now holds a dual appointment as the founding president-dean of Jakes Divinity School and one of the associate pastors at The Potter’s House of Dallas. Before Bishop TD Jakes appointed him to this role, Harris was the founding dean of the Urban Renewal Center, the community development corporation sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk.

Harris has published ten books; some of them are monographs and others are edited volumes. Also, he has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and several popular pieces, as well.

For ten years, Harris served as full-time associate professor at Regent University, where he earned tenure. Along with his current role in Dallas, Harris lectures at several universities and conferences and preaches at churches throughout the USA and abroad.
