Since retiring as Kenan Professor of Religion and the Humanities at Bowdoin College in 2002, I’ve been actively studying music and photography. Exhibiting my work in local galleries; also developing collaborative exhibitions with my wife Judith (Holstein ‘60), who is a photographer and fine art print maker. Travels now are expansive photo shoots, in addition to visits with family in SC and Ecuador. Enjoyed a visit last fall with Erhard Gerstenberger, former faculty member at YDS in the mid 60s, who was passing through New England on his way to the SBL meetings.
