As I move towards the end of my 29th year in the campus ministry at Yale (21st year as Director of the Rivendell Institute here), one of my great joys and privileges has been to teach as a Lecturer in Religion and Literature with ISM. I mainly focus on 20-21st century literature, with classes in “Reading Poetry Theologically,” “Imagining the Apocalypse,” “Spiritual Topographies,” etc., and am currently proposing a course on the literature of trauma for spring 2017. I has been a thrill to work alongside my former adviser and professor par excellence, Peter Hawkins.
