David Oli Jenkins, M.Div.

My partner, David Spivey, and I moved from Atlanta to Asheville, NC, following my retirement from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University, last summer. David will continue to practice medicine part time here in Asheville, while I hope to become a grumpy old man who claims to go fishing every day as a way to get out of yard work. Actually I plan to become more politically engaged here in Asheville as we work to protect and support immigrants and refugees. I tell people I plan to finish a novel, find a Spanish tutor, take guitar and piano lessons again, become a master gardener, and maybe start L'Arche in Asheville, but I may simply learn to fly fish instead.
