Dawn A. Shippee is in her eleventh year as Senior Pastor of North Church of Portsmouth, UCC, in Portsmouth, NH, an historic city—now a “destination”—on the New England seacoast. After 25 years and three pastorates in the NH Conference, the UCC is not exactly what Dawn anticipated the Holy Spirit had in mind “all those years ago.” She balances the very old and very new and trusts that a faithful church will emerge.
