Deborah van Deusen Hunsinger, M.Div.

Class of
1976

In 2016, I survived a 9 1/2 hour brain surgery to remove a huge (Grade One) meningioma from my left cerebellum. It was a "benign" tumor about the size of a lime. The surgery was 100% successful. 9 1/2 months later, George and I went to the Grand Canyon to celebrate. Also, in 2016, I received The BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARD from the Academy of Parish Clergy for my book, Bearing the Unbearable: Trauma, Gospel and Pastoral Care. The attached picture is from last August, when George and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary.
