H. Wesley Perkins ’75, ’79 Ph.D. (sociology) is professor of sociology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY, where he also chairs the Committee on the Faculty, coordinates the Sacred in Cross-Cultural Perspective program, and directs an award-winning Alcohol Education Project that provides research and educational resources internationally on reducing alcohol and substance abuse. He publishes widely on health promotion, is researching U.S./U.K. school violence, and is studying forgiveness and well-being throughout adulthood.
