What lights my fire at 87?  “Look but don’t touch!” Seriously, 1. Leading a SS Bible study among Greyheads.  2.  Enjoying/learning from the “Discipline” eight month Bible study, produced by Dick & Julia Wilke, YDS ‘55. 3. Introducing Argentine and Uruguayan church music to our two local Methodist churches, English and Spanish speaking congregations, including a Uruguayan tango for organ, Prelude G. 4.Spearheading fundraising and backup support for a Laity Leadership Program for Quechua speakers (the language of the Inca) in Bolivia, where I was a Methodist missionary for ten years.  The program consists of Bible, Basic Theology, Christian Education, Public Health, and Pastoral Counseling as an introduction to mental health. This is carried on in a series of 3 day seminars. It includes church members whose first worship services were held under a tarp thrown over three 18 wheelers in a U shape.  Their owners and other freighters want training to spread the Gospel as they carry their produce all over Bolivia, northern Chile, and N. Argentina as the classical orators in LA finished their speeches. “Dije.” (I’ve said it).
