Denomination:
Episcopal

In 2012, I began a Ph.D. in world Christianity at Cambridge University. My research concerns the mass movement of Christian conversion that took place among the Dinka people of southern Sudan during Sudan's civil war in the 1980s and 1990s. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to deepen my connections to the South Sudanese church, connections which I first formed while a student at YDS.

My book "Backpacking through the Anglican Communion: A Search for Unity" (Morehouse, 2014) was published in January 2014. It draws on my tens of thousands of mile of travel in the world church (most of which occurred while I was a student at YDS) to think about what Christian unity is and how it is part of the church's counter-cultural witness to a globalized world.
