I am currently a professor in the Department of Philosophy at East Tennessee State University (Johnson City, Tennessee). I also coordinate programs of study and advising in religious studies. My work focuses on religion and ethics, philosophy of religion, philosophy and religious thought in early modern Europe, but also more specifically upon the moral psychology of hatred, and upon Spinoza. I participated in a “Joy and the Good Life” consultation at the Yale Center for Faith and Culture.
