Mary Emily Duba, MDiv

Class of
2009
Denomination:
Lutheran

After graduating from YDS and living for a year in Cochabamba, Bolivia, I began doctoral studies at the University of Chicago Divinity School. I graduated in 2018 with a PhD in Theology and a dissertation titled, "God is Here: A Theology of Place and Displacement." Last fall, we moved to Dubuque, Iowa, where I serve as Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology and a Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. During this two-year postdoc, Jason and I are enjoying exploring the trails and caves of the "driftless region" with our daughter, Abigail (2.5 yrs).
