This has been a year of highs and lows. My 14th time back to Tanzania -- teaching Reformation and Modern Church History, raising funds for a 300' tower for Radio Furaha and a second station opened, Iringa Hope Microfinance flourishing and starting new ag co-ops in addition to the 38 village micro banks doing very well. In January 2014 Sally and I decided to retire as of July 2015.  We were uncertain, ambiguous, hot and cold.  But now it seems just in time.  I had a mountain bike accident on August 13 -- broken clavicle, 5 broken ribs, concussion, neck misery, etc.  And then a diagnosis of early Parkinson's Disease.  Uffda as we say in Minneosta.  The strategy is to charge forward as fast as I can shuffle and to use the time freed from retiring from Easter Lutheran to concentrate on developing a radio network across southern Tanzania with perhaps eight stations and an audience of 10 to 15 million listeners.  I need to raise about 1M to make this happen, so there will be no leisure-time crisis until my body gives out.

We have a new grandson named Soren in honor of the Great Dane. We're headed to NYC to adore the child on March 5. God is good.
