Ray Kiser, M. Div.

At the conclusion of my ninth year as Senior Pastor of Lake Travis United Methodist Church, in suburban Austin, Texas, with 43 years served in ordained ministry, I retired from active appointment in the Rio Texas Conference, effective July 1, 2018. My wife Stacy and I maintain our residence in Austin. Our son Christopher is in his first year at Duke Divinity School. Our daughter Sarah is in her first year as a student at the University of Texas at Dallas. Our daughter Grace is seeking a college program where she may continue studies as a singer and song-writer. While I thrived in my service with some wonderful congregations, retirement has brought me a relieving reduction in stress. and new levels of physical health, energy, and joyful time for family, study, and regular exercise. My gratitude only grows for the blessings I received at Yale Divinity School in preparation for a long grace-filled journey in ordained ministry.
