Roger Huston, M.A.R. ‘08

Dr. Roger Huston was recently appointed as the Dean of the School of Business at Kentucky Christian University. Before arriving at KCU, Dr. Roger Huston was a management consultant for Faith Works Consulting. He enjoys consulting on leadership and administrative issues with churches and human service nonprofits. Over the past two decades, Roger has served in leadership positions, such as being the director of Testify—a religious education nonprofit organization. He also served as a Young Adult Director and a Youth Director in the churches of Christ. Roger has taught at colleges and universities in the areas of economics, business, public policy, and political science. Roger graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Religion with Honors from Simpson College and then earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale University. Roger also holds a Master of Public Administration from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Delaware. His dissertation focused on nonprofit faith-based organizations and organizational theory and management. In his free time, Roger likes spending time with his wife, Shawna, who is a small animal veterinarian, and his two sons—Noah and Micah. Roger’s hobbies include hiking, lifting weights, organic gardening, and traveling.
