Samuel Lamback, Bachelor of Divinity

Class of
1970
Denomination:
Methodist, United

After graduating from YDS in 1970, I was ordained in the S GA Conference of the UMC and spent 24 years as an Army chaplain. I retired with 30 total years in the Army in 1994. Gini and I returned to our home in Macon, GA, where I took pastoral appointments to United Methodist churches in the Middle GA area for 13 more years. I served four additional years as a retired, part time staff member for our S GA UM bishop. Gini continues a 43 career as an ESOL teacher. Both of us participate in ministries of the Mulberry St UMC, my church home. I also participate in KAIRIOS prison ministry as well as banjo/mandolin picking with two local church-affiliated groups. Our two children are: Christy, a speech pathologist in Auburn, AL, and Mark, a choral director in high school and church in Dunwoody, GA. Both bless us with two grandchildren each.
