Timothy Seamans (formerly ‘Sommer’ at YDS) married Marissa Seamans, an epidemiologist that he met at Yale. In December 2015, he was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and will be ordained a priest in June 2016. Timothy works as a school chaplain at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, the largest parish-day school in the nation, and he is the youngest member of the Beloved Community: Commission for Dismantling Racism in the Diocese of Atlanta. In October, Timothy attend the Episcopal Church’s Young Adult Pilgrimage to Ferguson, focusing on how to integrate social justice and racial reconciliation into chaplaincy and curriculum.
