Wayne G. Rollins, YDS . B.D.’54, Yale PhD., ’60, continues to teach one semester per year at the Hartford Seminary.  Most recent news is a  Festschrift  in his honor, edited by J. Harold Ellens, Psychological Hermeneutics for Biblical Themes and Texts (T & T  Clark, 2012).  Rollins inaugurated the Psychology and Biblical Studies section  in the Society of Biblical Literature in 1991.  His 1999 volume,  Soul and Psyche: The Bible in Psychological  Perspective (Fortress) attempts the first comprehensive definition of the field.
