As Pride Month approaches, we are reaching out to our alum community to amplify the voices and actions of LGBTQ+ alums and allies. As your Associate Director of Development for Alumni Engagement and Donor Relations, and as an out gay man, it is important for me to be out at work and to help build up our alums. To that end, we want to share your stories and creativity this Pride Month. We invite you to use [this form] to share what you are doing as individuals and community leaders to celebrate Pride Month and advocate for equality. Whether you are organizing events or worship services, participating in marches, amplifying LGBTQ+ voices through your work, or simply showing support in your community, we want to hear from you.
Please consider submitting a brief summary of your Pride Month activities (with images from past years), along with any photos, social media links, or links to videos you would like to share. We will feature these submissions on our social media channels and website throughout Pride Month. As I am new at YDS, we are also including two other fields. First, I would love to hear how your time at YDS impacted your relationship with the LGBTQ+ community. Secondly, if you would like to self-identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ and allies community, I would love to know if you would want to be connected with a network of other LGBTQ+ alums and their allies from across Yale.
