Jerry W. Henry is a Partner at Alexander Haas, a capital campaign and fundraising consulting firm in Atlanta, GA.

A native of South Carolina, Jerry holds the Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion (1975) from Wofford College, and the Master of Divinity degree (1980) from YDS.  Upon graduation from YDS, he was ordained in the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. In 1983, he became the national Executive Director for The Fellowship of United Methodists in Worship, Music and Other Arts. During this time, he served also as the Chaplain for the United Methodist Youth Choir (conducted by Dr. Carlton Young, editor of The United Methodist Hymnal, 1989) on its summer travels throughout Great Britain and Europe. In 1990, Jerry became a layperson in the Episcopal Church at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta.

From 1991-1998, Jerry served as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Brenau Women’s College/Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, where he helped develop strategies and initiatives for two capital campaigns totaling over $30 million and oversaw the University's $1 million annual fund program.

He was recruited to his current position with Alexander Haas in 1998 and has provided counsel on a daily-basis to hundreds of non-profit organizations around the United States including educational institutions, human service groups, cultural institutions and faith-based organizations.

He has served on the Wofford College National Alumni Board, is the past president of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, past President of the Friends of Cathedral Music at the Cathedral of St. Philip, and is currently the President of the Yale Divinity School Alumni Board of Directors.

His hobbies reflect the bon vivant spirit he exhibited while a student at YDS:  dining out, fine wines, enjoying the visual and performing arts, and engaging in quality conversations with good friends (many of them being YDS alums!)
