David Woei Ren Chen came from Taiwan in 1965. He stayed in Seburary House for two years, and married with Mei Yuan Chen in 1967. He graduated in 1968 with B.D. Degree and then moved to University of Pittsburgh to study Library Science and Information. After graduation he served at Hartford Theological Seminary, Case Memorial Library. Their first son, Frederick Ming was born in 1969. The family moved to Atlanta, GA and David served at Pitts Library of Emory University, Candler School of Theology. He served there for 30 years and retired in 2001. David and Mei moved back to Taiwan, his home country to served as Library director of Yu Shan Theological Seminary.
After working for 12 years they moved back to Seattle, WA. and enjoy their retirement life in Seattle.
Their son, Frederick is a professor at UW Medical School, their second son, Stephen is a lawyer for the US Dept of Education In Denver. We have 3 grandchildren.

I serve as moderator of Seattle Taiwanese Christian Church (U.C.C.)
