Student Chapel Administrative Assistant

Assist with research tasks, correspondence, and special projects for Marquand Chapel, under the direct supervision of the Chapel Dean.  

The student must be responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and in collaborative contexts. Ideally, the student would have interest in or experience with worship, liturgy, and/or sacred music and other arts.The position will be approximately 4-8 hours a week, depending on the student’s availability and interest.

The position begins Spring 2024, with some preliminary training and planning before the end of Fall 2023.

 

Tasks Include

·         Providing liturgical research and other support for the Chapel Dean’s chapel service planning;

·         Sending and following up on invitations to potential service leaders for services and events planned by chapel staff;

·         Analyzing data on chapel services for assessment and future planning; 

·         Supporting Chapel Dean’s efforts to gather and summarize feedback on chapel services;

·         Sorting through and organizing liturgical materials for chapel records and to be sent to the Div Library for archiving; and

·         Assisting with special chapel projects under the Chapel Dean’s supervision.

 

Pay will be the standard rate for student employment.
